Calanques National Park

White limestone cliffs, turquoise coves and rugged trails between Marseille and Cassis.

The Calanques de Cassis offer stunning limestone inlets with turquoise waters, best explored by boat from the harbour, hiking the trails to Port-Miou, Port-Pin and En-Vau, or kayaking. Visit in May-June or September-October to avoid summer crowds and fire-risk closures, starting early and checking daily park regulations. Bring water, sturdy shoes and sun protection; the dramatic cliffs and clear sea make it one of Provence's most memorable coastal experiences.
